It’s Business Time(Part 1 of 3): Recruiting a Top Toronto Corporate Headshot And Event Photographer
Conference season is on the horizon and corporate event planners are busy dotting their i’s and crossing their t’s in preparation for upcoming symposiums, trade shows and meetings. In this multi-part series, I’m outlining the pros (of which there are plenty) of hiring a professional event photographer, such as myself, for your 2018 conference.
There are many use-case scenarios for employing a professional photographer at your next industry meeting but today we are focussing on documentation! It may seem obvious, but the candid photos I capture at these functions not only document the many moments that occur during an event, but also the nuances and energy. The possibilities for publishing these photos are wide-ranging.
1. Streaming! Candid photos are excellent for streaming, slideshow-style, while the event is still in action. Projected onto big screens during meal times, in breakaway spaces or on digital signage throughout the event site are some examples of how you can showcase these images. The near real-time publishing of candid shots helps to illustrate what delegates may have missed as well as highlights from the previous days’ events.
2. Content! These types of images serve as excellent content for websites, email newsletters and social media channels dedicated to the host organization(s), venue(s) or association(s). Keeping these channels updated is crucial for catching the attention of stakeholders, customers, prospective customers, competitors and more.
3. Hashtagging! Populating event hashtags on platforms such as instagram and Twitter with professional imagery is a great way to keep your event content current. Interspersing user generated content with professional content will also attract views and engagement.
